A message from Jill
Life is challenging. Our human hearts and minds can be messy. Our world is beautiful yet also heartbreaking. We may face difficult circumstances that make it hard to thrive. Through no fault of our own, we may never have learned how to steady ourselves. It makes sense that we need support.
My goal is to create a warm and open space for you to explore your relationship with yourself and your life. My approach is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and a belief in your ability to grow and heal. I will support you in building awareness of your feelings and patterns, and we will work together to practice new skills to cope with change and challenge. Ideally our work together over time allows you to feel more spacious, connected, and resilient.
Intersectional identity and socio-historical factors impact experience and wellbeing, and I aim to be as responsive as possible. You are welcome at our practice, and I look forward to meeting you.

I see therapy as a collaboration. My role is to hold space in a warm and non-judgemental way so that we can work with what’s most important to you. Your role is to engage and practice attuning to all parts of yourself. I am curious and will ask questions, as well as listen. I’m interested in the unique influences that make you who you are.
I value being real and connecting with joy. I will check in about your experience so that we both can learn from what’s working for you and what isn’t. The hope is that you feel connected during our time together and safe to learn and try out new ways of being. Therapy is a gradual process that flourishes with patience and commitment.
While I regularly work with people that reflect diverse backgrounds and goals, my lived experience naturally informs my interests and motivations. As a transracial international adoptee, I have a particular interest in supporting adoptees in navigating identity and family. A history of loss led me to pursue specialized training in palliative care social work, a field that focuses on providing whole-person care to seriously ill people and their families. Through the exploration and integration of my own internal landscape, I have developed a deep meditation practice. While these interests and experiences are highly specific, what I’ve gained through exploring them translates broadly to my work.
