It all depends on each individual's circumstances. Our sessions are collaborative and we view our work with our clients as entering into a partnership. At the beginning we establish goals together as the focus of the work.
We frequently check in to see if the therapy is helping and have no interest in keeping people in treatment for longer than they feel necessary. Some people choose to work together for many years, and some for only a few months.
We do feel strongly that sessions should be held at least 1 x per week. In our experience, meeting monthly or every other week is not useful and often proves frustrating to both therapist and client.

Aside from being a play on our founder’s name (Christine Grounds), we believe that true health and wellness comes from treating the mind, body, and spirit. We take a holistic approach to each individual who comes to us for help, and have an extensive network of referral partners we can connect our clients with as needed.

Therapy is a space that’s just for you. It’s a chance to explore whatever comes up for you without the pressure of anyone else’s expectations. We have found that when clients sit with a non-judgemental clinician and are given the time and space to authentically feel, they can determine what is right for them. This is how people heal.
