A message from Christine
Faking it is exhausting! I know because I did it for many years. I was scared to show my true self, to take the risk to figure out what I wanted, not what society told me I should want. Thankfully, I found my way to therapy and began looking at what truly made me happy.
If you are willing to do the hard, sometimes painful work of looking deeply within yourself I’m here to help you. If anyone tells you there’s a quick fix, they are lying! It takes commitment, vulnerability and time. Change is hard, but not changing isn’t really living.
Together we will discover what patterns from the past you are repeating in relationships and how to use your nervous system as a powerful tool.

My entire adult life has provided countless opportunities for me to learn that life is too short.
GWW is the culmination of these opportunities. At various points since my mid-twenties, I’ve been forced to come to terms with who I am and how I want to be in the world. I have learned that life is too short to try to be someone that I’m not, to try to fit in where I don’t, to try to be less of something or more of something else.
Through these years I have also learned to listen to my body. As someone with scoliosis, my back (and body as a whole) requires constant maintenance. Whenever I’ve tried to ignore this fact, my body has found a way to remind me. Instead of trying to ignore the aches and pains, I have learned how to pay attention to what my body is telling me. If we learn to listen to our bodies, we can figure out where we need to do work and what emotions we might be avoiding.
The birth of my first child was the most significant lesson of all. My son was born with special needs (learn more about my experience here). Suddenly, I was confronted with a reality that at the time was unimaginable. In an effort to find a supportive community I sought out other special needs mothers. I found I didn’t fit in with mothers of typical children nor did I fit in with special needs mothers. I needed to find a community of women that were honest about their feelings and unapologetic for their pain, anger and grief. I started writing and made a video in which I am brutally honest and unapologetic about my feelings. Despite many angry messages, my experience was overwhelmingly met with gratitude from people who felt similarly.
I created GWW out of the desire to create a supportive space where like-minded women can be honest and unapologetic about their feelings and experiences. My hope is that in this environment women can discover who they are and choose to live authentically.
